Julie Furlong established Design + Marketing (D+M) in 1999. Through employing strong, committed staff and forming lasting relationships with clients, Julie has seen the business grow dramatically to become the dynamic full-service agency it is today.

JULIE FURLONG
Managing Director • MBus(Mktg)
With 24 years experience as a design and marketing professional, specialising in the shopping
centre industry, Julie Furlong founded D+M in 1999. Following a successful 12 year career in
marketing and design D+M was established.
Prior to founding D+M Pty Ltd, Julie held a role with Tourism Australia as National Marketing
Manager for 2 years. In addition to this, she held various roles with Westfield Shopping centres
including Assistant Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager, Regional Marketing Manager and
Corporate Affairs Marketing within head office. Within these roles Julie was responsible for
projects including strategically planning campaigns that engaged the market working within the
brand, addressing customer spend, turnover and traffic.
Previously, Julie worked as a designer in Sydney and London. During this time she gained a
thorough understanding of concept development and the design and production of a range
of marketing communication, and the development of all advertising campaigns and marketing
collateral.
Julie has achieved a Diploma in Design as well as a Master of Business Marketing Degree from the
University of Technology Sydney.
